Description
What is the GPMS?
The General Project Management Standard is a set of templates for managing projects and developing project management organizational standards. The use of GPMS templates helps to save time and simplify the work of administrating project documentation, as well as improve the quality of management documents themselves. The kit provides standard templates for management documents and artifacts that can be tailored to the needs of a particular company in any industry.
To ensure usage invariance across industries, the GPMS is based on the commonly used artifacts and the performance domains described in the Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge and The Standard for Project Management (PMBOK® Guide, 7th edition). The terminology, names, and titles used in the PMBOK have been preserved as much as possible. Also, in the 7th version of the GPMS.Kit, the IDs of templates are used in accordance with the numbers of the PMBOK sections. Each user of the templates can easily find the original information about the GPMS documents in the original source.
The relationship of GPMS documents to the PMBOK artifact types and performance domains is shown in the diagram on the right. This diagram can also be downloaded in PDF and Excel format.
