The Project Manager’s Knowledge Map is a unique tool developed by Expedition Project Management, which allows you to identify gaps in your project management knowledge. In strict accordance with the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide, 6th Edition) the project manager’s knowledge decomposed into 5 process groups and 10 knowledge areas. An example of the Knowledge Map scorecard is given in the picture:

Passing Knowledge Map exams, you answer questions correctly or incorrectly. All responses are stored in the system database. As each question is linked to one or more PMBOK processes and/or knowledge areas, the overall picture shows which topics should be improved become clear.

In the picture above it is clear that the Monitoring & Control Process Group and the Scope Management Knowledge Area should be improved. The Knowledge Map scorecard will change after reading the relevant literature, training, and re-passing the exams for the studied topics.

Preparing for the PMP exam can last long enough until all the bars will be green. Ideally, each section should contain at least 80% of correct answers.
